Gerald Patrick O'Driscoll Jr. est un économiste américain né en 1947. Influencé par les travaux de Friedrich Hayek, sa thèse de 1973, à l'université de Californie, était intitulée Les contributions de Hayek en économie. Il fait partie de l'école autrichienne d'économie. Gerald O’Driscoll a été Professeur assistant à l'université d'État de l'Iowa. Classé dans une période de sa vie, comme radical subjectiviste, car, en compagnie de Mario Rizzo, il a écrit un livre sur le temps subjectif inspiré par le philosophe français Henri Bergson.
