David Gordon, né le 7 avril 1948, est un philosophe, proche de l'école autrichienne, membre et chercheur de l'Institut Ludwig von Mises à Auburn. Il a étudié à l'UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). Il fut diplômé en 1969 (B. A.), il a obtenu son Master en 1970 et son doctorat (Ph.D.) en 1975. Il a fait partie du bureau éditorial du Journal of Libertarian Studies.
