Roderick T. Long (né le 4 février 1964) est un anarcho-capitaliste américain, professeur de philosophie à la Auburn University, et commentateur politique libertarien. Il est diplômé d'Harvard et de Cornell.
Présentation
Animant le site praxeology.net depuis plusieurs années, Roderick T. Long y développe ses analyses sur la situation politique américaine. Fortement marqué par Ayn Rand, il en a hérité le goût pour la logique aristotélicienne. Mais il se passionne aussi beaucoup pour la "contre-culture" et la littérature de science-fiction.
En outre, Roderick T. Long a entrepris de faire connaître le libéralisme du XIXe siècle, tant en oeuvrant pour une connaissance moins partielle de Herbert Spencer qu'en traduisant plusieurs auteurs libéraux français (ou belge : cf. Gustave de Molinari) de cette époque. C'est ainsi qu'il préside la Molinary Society et le Molinari Institute, un petit think tank à ne pas confondre avec l'Institut économique Molinari de Bruxelles (site).
Depuis le début 2005, il a repris le flambeau du Journal of Libertarian Studies (site) à Hans-Hermann Hoppe, et est membre associé au Mises Institute, situé également à Auburn.
