Le banquier est une personne qui se livre professionnellement aux activités propres à une banque. Il peut s'agir en particulier du propriétaire ou du dirigeant d'une banque. C'est un métier financier, avec une variabilité très forte. Derrière le « banquier » connu par le grand public peut se cacher un conseiller de clientèle en banque, un banquier d'affaires réalisant des opérations de fusion-acquisition, un banquier d'entreprises, un banquier central, et bien d'autres métiers.
