David R. Henderson
David R. Henderson est chercheur à la Hoover Institution depuis 1990. Il est également professeur associé d'économie à la Naval Postgraduate School à Monterey, en Californie (USA) depuis 1984. Il est né et il a grandi au Canada. Il a obtenu ses diplômes de science et de mathématiques à l'Université du Winnipeg en 1970 et son doctorat en économie à l'Université de Californie à Los Angeles en 1976. En 1974, il fait partie des rares économistes qui ont participé à la Conférence de South Royalton. Là, il y fait la rencontre chaleureuse d'Henry Hazlitt.
Ses écrits portent sur les politiques publiques, particulièrement il montre les conséquences inattendues de la règlementation étatique. Les dépenses publiques agravent généralement plus les problèmes qu'ils ne les résolvent. La liberté et le libre marché sont les facteurs déterminants pour résoudre les problèmes des gens. En 1984, il est récompensé du "Mencken Award" pour la meilleure enquête journalistique pour son article “The Myth of MITI”.
