Dwight R. Lee est un économiste américain, affilié à l'école du Public Choice. Dwight R. Lee a obtenu son doctorat en économie à l'Université de Californie, à San Diego. Il a occupé des postes d'enseignants à l'Université du Colorado, à l'Université Virginia Tech, à la George Mason University et à Athens, de l'université de Georgie aux USA. Il occupe actuellement la chaire J. O'Neil William sur les marchés mondiaux et sur la liberté, à l'école de commerce "Edwin Cox", située dans l'université "Southern Methodist", à Dallas, au Texas.
