Christopher J. Coyne est professeur assistant d'économie à l'université de West Virginia. Il est également rédacteur en chef de la Review of Austrian Economics et chercheur au Mercatus Center. Il contribue régulièrement au blog, The Austrian Economists. En 2005, Il a soutenu sa thèse en économie, à la George Mason University, intitulée : "After War: Essays on the Mechanism for Successful Post-War Reconstruction and Social Changee" ("Après la guerre : Essais sur le Mécanisme pour la réussite de la reconstruction post-conflictuelle et des changements sociauix").
