Mark Pennington

Mark Pennington est professeur d'économie à l'université de Londres de Queen Mary, adoptant les méthodes de l'école du Public Choice et de l'école autrichienne d'économie. Ses principaux intérêts de recherche se situent en économie politique et sur la réglementation, avec un accent particulier sur la politique de l'environnement et sur la réforme du secteur public. Une grande partie de son travail passé a porté sur le rôle potentiel des mécanismes du marché pour améliorer la qualité de l'environnement. À cette fin, il a publié deux ouvrages analysant la politique de la réglementation sur l'utilisation des terres au Royaume-Uni et sur les solutions potentielles du marché. Il a étudié les implications de la théorie de l'ordre spontané, initiée par Friedrich Hayek afin d'éclairer les recherches sur les théories de la démocratie délibérative et sur la «politique de la différence».
