Douglas Adie

Douglas K. Adie est professeur d'économie à l'Université de l'Ohio. Il est né à Hamilton, en Ontario, au Canada, en 1940. Après avoir été diplômé de l'Université McMaster en 1963, en économie et en mathématiques, il a fréquenté l'Université de Chicago où, sous la supervision de Milton Friedman, de Robert Mundell et de George Stigler, il a finalisé son doctorat en 1968, par une thèse portant sur la loi de Peel de 1844 et la controverse de l'école de la Currency-Banking.

Douglas Adie a plus de 25 publications à son actif, dont plusieurs livres et monographies sur le système postal des Etats-Unis et du Canada. Il a écrit auprès de prestigieuses fondations libérales : l'American Enterprise Institute, le Cato Institute et la Fondation Reason et dans des revues économiques. Il est membre de la Société du Mont-Pèlerin depuis de longues années.
