Oskar Morgenstern est né le 24 janvier 1902 à Görlitz et décédé le 26 juillet 1977 à Princeton dans le New Jersey. C'était un économiste autrichien qui a travaillé avec le mathématicien John von Neumann, pour créer une nouvelle discipline, la théorie des jeux. Tous les deux ont laissé à la science économique, le fameux théorème de l'utilité Neumann-Morgenstern.
