Robert Leeson

Robert Leeson est un économiste américain, professeur d'économie à l'université de Stanford et à l'université de Notre Dame en Australie. Proche de l'école de Chicago, il est membre de la Hoover Institution et spécialiste reconnu de Milton Friedman dont il est l'éditeur des Œuvres complètes.

Travaux : une approche critique de l'école autrichienne

Bien qu'universitaire, il adopte quelquefois un style éditorial et littéraire propre aux journaux populistes afin de disqualifier l'école autrichienne, pour discréditer ses membres éminents et historiques comme Friedrich Hayek, Ludwig von Mises et Murray Rothbard. Peter Boettke le considère comme un acteur dégénérescent de la société du Mont Pélerin, et s'en est pris sévèrement à son approche critique de l'école autrichienne sur le blog de CoordinationProblem.org.

Hormis son soucis latent à rejeter les théoriciens de l'école autrichienne qui peut agacer, il ne faut pas jeter complétement l'apport de Robert Leeson ; Ses travaux pour rassembler des textes de Milton Friedman sont considérés comme de référence.
