Lee Alston

Lee J. Alston est professeur d'économie et directeur du "Programme sur l'environnement et de la société" à l'Institut des sciences du comportement, de l'université du Colorado, et chercheur associé au National Bureau of Economic Research. Il est diplômé de l'université d'indiana (BA en 1973) et de l'université de Washington (MA en 1973 et Ph.D. en 1975). Il enseigne l'histoire économique et les changements institutionnels en tant qu'interaction entre « offreurs » et « demandeurs » d'institutions. Il fut président de la Société internationale pour la nouvelle économie institutionnelle.

Lee Alston fut professeur d'économie au Williams College et professeur d'économie et de sciences politiques à l'Institut pour les Affaires gouvernementales et publiques de l'Université de l'Illinois. Il a également été professeur à l'École du commerce des États-Unis à Prague et professeur invité dans plusierus universités : université de Washington, Université de California-Davis; l'Australian National University, le Stockholm School of Economics et l'Université de Paris I-La Sorbonne.
