Steve Pejovich est professeur d'économie à l'Université du Texas. Il a écrit de nombreux ouvrages et articles portant sur le domaine du droit de propriété et sur la théorie de la transition économique.
D'origine Yougoslave, son prénom est Svetozar qu'il a américanisé en "Steve", il a fait ses études à Belgrade (LLB) et son doctorat à l'université de Georgetown (USA).
