Leadership toxique

Un leader toxique se réfère à une personne qui a la responsabilité sur un groupe de personnes ou d'une organisation, et qui abuse de la relation leader-suiveur en laissant le groupe ou l'organisation dans un état pire que lorsqu'il l'a d'abord trouvé.

L'expression de leadership toxique a été inventée par Marcia Whicker en 1996 et elle est liée à un certain nombre de styles de leadership dysfonctionnel. Cette toxicité peut provenir d'un désordre psychologique du leadership comme les comportements des psychopathes.
