Anthony de Jasay, né à Aba, Hongrie, en 1925, est un économiste anglo-hongrois vivant en France. C'est un représentant contemporain de l'école autrichienne et de l'école du Choix Public.

Bien que sa formation initiale soit en tant qu'économiste, ses écrits portent également intérêt à la philosophie politique, s'appuyant sur ces deux axes il est un des plus grands philosophes libéraux.

Sa Pensée

Auteur de L'État, (en)The State, le thème essentiel concerne la manière dont l'État et la société interagissent. Il se questionne sur la nature intrinsèque du pouvoir politique et sur les différentes visions instrumentales de l'État. Il évoque notamment l'obéissance politique provoquée par l'État à travers le recours à la vieille triade de la répression, la légitimité et le consentement d'une infime fraction de la société qui fini par réprimer le reste de la société.
