Tsutomu Hashimoto

Tsutomu Hashimoto est né le 29 décembre 1967 à Tokyo au Japon. En 1986, il est admis à l'Université Nationale de Yokohama pour y effectuer des études économiques. Il en sort diplômé en 1990 avec un mémoire qui porte sur la Dénationalisation de la monnaie et du système monétaire par Friedrich Hayek. En 1993, à l'université de Tokyo, il rédige un mémoire de Master qui porte sur le sujet suivant : "Les fondations idéologiques de la société ouverte: le problème de la pensée qui recouvre la méthodologie de Karl Popper, Ludwig von Mises et de Friedrich Hayek". En septembre 1999, il soutient sa thèse à l'université de Tokyo : "Méthode et Personne : Libéralisme en tant que projet".

De 1996 à 1998, il est chargé de cours en Histoire des idées économiques à l'université d'Hokkaido. De septembre 2000 à Juin 2002, il est chercheur visiteur à l'université de New York où il participe aux colloques de l'école autrichienne d'économie. Il enseigne actuellement à la faculté d'économie et de management à l'université d'Hokkaido. Ses domaines d'intérêt portent sur la philosophie de la science, la philosophie économique, la théorie politique et la sociologie économique.
