Suzanne Berger est une historienne et politologue américaine. Professeur de sciences politiques au Massachusetts Institute of Technology de Cambridge (Etats-Unis), elle est spécialiste de la France et de la mondialisation. Elle y notamment consacré plusieurs ouvrages ainsi qu'aux délocalisations. Elle est en particulier célèbre pour ''Notre Première Mondialisation: Leçons d’un échec oublié, livre paru en 200, et Made in monde, paru en 2006.

Elle montre en particulier, en s'appuyant sur l'analyse approfondie de cinq cent entreprises à travers le monde, combien les stratégies des entreprises sont diverses et comment, contrairement aux idées reçues antimondialistes, les délocalisations ne sont qu'une part extrêmement mineure des stratégies mises en place avec la mondialisation.

Elle est membre de l'académie américaine des arts et des sciences et a été cooptée comme administrateur indépendant de BNP Paribas en 2007.
